This company is a leading UK training provider offering courses in M&E Safe Systems of Work, Electrical Installations, Legionella training and more. They are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join their Digital team. A variety of projects with a small team allows for team members to get involved and make a real difference in the company.
Role will include development of updates to the website(s) and internal systems.
A proficient understanding of PHP and JS. HTML, CSS, SQL and jQuery are recommended.
Key Skills:
- PHP
- Proficient understanding of HTML5/CSS3, Javascript and JQuery
- Experience with automated testing
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms (LESS/SASS)
- Understanding of a mobile first approach and responsive design
- Awareness/Understanding of Advanced JS libraries, specifically React
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
- Understanding and basic usage of GIT, NPM
- Creation and management of REST API’s
- Laravel (Not essential but beneficial)
- Understanding of API's (both creation and use)
Skills & Experience:
- Good communication skills; both verbal and written
- Extremely organised
- Ability to research problems independently and offer solutions
- Clean driving licence
Hours Mon-Thu 8:45 to 5:30, Fri 8:45 to 5:00 with a 1 hour lunch break.
Role to be based at their York Head Office.
