We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to undertake designs for the mechanical and HVAC systems that we install. The role requires the candidate to have good mechanical design skills and an excellent understanding of the construction design process. The candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience of designing pipework and ductwork systems in the commercial / industrial sector.

Many of our projects are very bespoke and require an engineer with a good understanding of pipework systems and ductwork systems, sizing of pipework and ductwork and the associated pumps and controls.

- Cranfield University - specialist test rigs for cutting edge research and development - Aviation research (fuels rig and a supersonic wind tunnel)
- BAE (submarines) Barrow in furness
- The National Portrait Gallery
- Imperial War Museum (Duxford)
- GSK - Pharmaceuticals
- NHS
- United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAE)

Recent clients have included:
- CERN - Home to the Large Hadron Collider

This is a hybrid role. The successful applicant should be prepared to work a few days a week from our offices in Huntingdon.

Professional Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's preferred)

Experience/Roles
- Proven experience in designing mechanical systems (3 years (preferred)
- Self Motivation and Independent
- IT Skills – Excel, Project and Word
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Attending design meetings
- Proven experience of using REVIT, AutoCAD, HEVACOMP & Fusion. Solidworks experience would be beneficial
- Quality control
