We are looking for highly motivated Support Time and Recovery (STR) Workers to join our team who are passionate about making a real difference ensuring people are able to lead fulfilling lives whilst promoting recovery within the supported living environment. Choice should be made available, with dignity and respect at the forefront of delivery too.

Whilst previous experience is preferable, it is not essential.

Our STR Workers support individuals in all aspects of daily living including support with medication and managing finances whilst ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with our care policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.

Experience of supporting people with mental health needs and challenging behaviour is desirable but applications are welcomed from individuals with transferable skills. You will need to be a great team player, motivated, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships. Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.

We currently have vacancies in our Supported Living houses in close proximity to the river Thames.

Daily duties involved but are not limited to
- Providing physical, emotional, and social support to service users on a strength based approach
- Working closely with staff and tenants in promoting individual packages of care that reflect the person’s chosen lifestyle
- To support and encourage residents to develop and rediscover daily living and social skills
- Supporting tenants in leisure, education and employment services inside and outside of the home
- Supporting tenants as much as possible to undertake household chores, including planning and preparing meals
- Assisting tenants in maintaining their personal hygiene where necessary (prompting and supervision rather than hands on)
- Participating in training opportunities to gain a wide understanding of tenants needs and disabilities
- To support residents to recognise their mental health needs and comply with medications that have been prescribed to manage this
- To assist and encourage residents with general financial management
- Completing written reports and notes
- To support residents’ physical health and well-being
- To ensure that residents files both written and computerised are up to date and any incidents or other information is fully reported and recorded.
- Supporting tenants accessing benefits e.g. housing benefit, income support, DLA etc
