A rapidly expanding SaaS company offering workspace management solutions are recruiting a Lead Software Engineer. They are an independently funded company, enjoying autonomy and innovation without constraints from venture capitalists.

Their current system is built on AWS, utilising technologies including (but not exclusively) PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js, with mobile applications developed in React Native.

The role offer remote working.

THE JOB:
- Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a critical role in advancing the platform. This position is not just about coding; it's about innovating, problem-solving, and significantly contributing to the evolution of our platform.
- Mentor, lead, and inspire a team of skilled developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Manage the end-to-end software development process, ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality features.
- Collaborate with various teams to ideate, plan, and execute new functionalities.
- Uphold high standards of code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and automation and encourage a Test Driven Development (TDD) approach.
- Engage in collaborative project planning and execution with cross-functional teams.
- Address technical challenges, optimise performance, and maintain system integrity.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate best practices into our development processes.
- Dedicate approximately 80% of your time to new feature development.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in software development, with leadership experience.
- Outstanding expertise in AWS, PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js.
- Comprehensive understanding of mobile and web application development cycles.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Experience working in a Test Driven Development (TDD) environment.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
- £50,000 - £55,000, dependent on experience
- 20 days holiday + public holidays
